Based in Billings, Montana, the 406 Race Series brings together runners, families, and outdoor enthusiasts through high-quality, community-driven events. Our races are known for awesome swag, welcoming race crew, educated volunteers and a fun and festive atmosphere.
We pride ourselves on starting on time, offering clearly marked courses, delivering quick results, and creating a safe, fun experience for all participants.

Calling all outdoor enthusiasts! Start your year with a splash at our New Year's Plunge. Walk/Run 1.5 Miles around Lake Elmo and then jump in the lake to feel recharged and energized for the New Year. Have no fear, warm tents and a free drink from 105 Brewing are waiting for you!

​MONTANA MARATHON
​The Montana Marathon (Previously recognized as the Queen Bee Montana Marathon) is the ultimate fall race—fast, scenic, and unforgettable. With its downhill course and crisp autumn air, it’s the perfect opportunity to chase your personal best or secure a Boston Qualifier. Surrounded by Montana’s breathtaking scenery, this race offers the ideal blend of challenge and beauty for runners of all levels. This is the oldest running Marathon in the state.

QUITCHERBITCHEN TRAIL RUN
The Quitcherbitchen Trail Run is all about testing your grit and having a blast on the trails at Phipps Park in Billings. With 2, 4, 6, and 8-mile options, there’s a challenge for every runner—from casual trail explorers to seasoned mountain goats. Conquer the climb, enjoy the stunning views, and stick around for prizes, swag, and plenty of community fun. GREAT MASKED PUMPKIN RUN
The Great Masked Pumpkin Run is a family-friendly fall tradition in Billings that’s all about fun, costumes, and community spirit! This festive race welcomes runners and walkers of all ages to dress up, get moving, and celebrate the season, all while partnering with the Young Marines and their Drug Demand Reduction program to promote healthy, positive lifestyles.
